Tim Farrell
understands well the intricate mechanics of music, yet his
playing and original compositions display an elegant simplicity
that celebrates the purity of the acoustic guitar. He is on
the faculty of the Community Conservatory in Doylestown, PA
where he is also the Artistic Director of the Stretched Strings
Concert and Workshop Series.
Alex de Grassi was drawn to the
playing of British finger-style acoustic guitarists Bert Jansch
& John Renbourn, as well as American innovators Leo Kottke &
John Fahey. de Grassi recorded his debut Turning: Turning Back
in 1978 for Will Ackerman's then-fledgling Windham Hill label
(Acoustic Guitar magazine recently cited this album among
the top ten essential finger-style recordings) followed up with
several critically acclaimed albums. Alex is a Grammy Award nominee,
scored numerous films, collaborates with various world-music artists
and he's the subject of a PBS concert-interview television show,
Alex de Grassi: The Artist's Profile.
Rock & Roll Hall of Famers The Yardbirds
were hugely influential during the 60's British Invasion pop scene
& found commercial success by charting with six top ten hits
including "For Your Love," "Heart Full of Soul,"
"Shapes of Things," & "Over Under Sideways Down".
Although guitarists Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page took
their respective careers into other directions, original members
Jim McCarty & Chris Dreja remained with the Yardbirds throughout
its existence.
With a remarkable recording career that spans four
decades, Kenny Rankin is an insightful songwriter,
a distinctive guitarist and a world-class singer, possessing an
uncanny ability to cut straight to a song's emotional heart. Kenny's
talents have been recognized by his peers including Peggy Lee, Carmen
McRae & Mel Torme who've covered his songs. Rankin played guitar
on Dylan's landmark Bringing It All Back Home. Johnny Carson
was such a huge fan that Kenny appeared on the Tonight Show
over twenty times!

Cowan rose to fame with band-mates Sam Bush, Bela Fleck

most significant voices in acoustic music over the past thirty years.
Described as modern day Everly Brothers
with a splash of bluegrass, Chris and Lorin Rowan hail
from the Boston area where their more famous brother Peter was already
making a name for himself. Several Rowan Brothers songs were recorded
by prominent artists ranging from Jefferson Starship to Ricky Skaggs.
In addition to fronting his own band - The Blues
Survivors - the incredibly powerful harmonica player-vocalist Mark
Hummel has been taking other legendary harp players on
the road since '91.

Kenny Neal is one of the most well-respected
contemporary blues musicians. In addition to recording a dozen albums
& touring worldwide, Kenny starred on Broadway in the lead of

and R'nB, including B.B. King, Bonnie Raitt, Muddy Waters, Aaron
Neville, Buddy Guy and John Lee Hooker.
Magic Dick - A founding member
of The J. Geils Band, Magic Dick has performed as a guest artist
harmonica soloist for Patty Smyth, Debbi Harri, Full Circle, The
Del Fuegos and Ryuici Sakamota, among others. He has devoted many
years of experimentation and searching for new sounds and stylings
for the harmonica.
Philly's own Steve Guyger is one
of the finest blues harmonica players & singers in the world
today and has shared the stage with some of the greats including
Charlie Musselwhite, Little Sammy Davis, Rod Piazza & Kim Wilson

Bob Thornton makes his Sellersville Theater debut with
his first love: drumming & singing with his group – The
Boxmasters. They're fashioned after a 60's-era mod band whose upbeat
rhythms and infectious arrangements contrast sardonically with the
very dark themes they explore lyrically. Charismatic and uniquely
talented, Thornton has established himself as one of the most sought
after filmmakers of his generation.
Hal Ketchum got a quick ticket
to fame with his first single "Small Town Saturday Night"
from his gold debut album Past the Point of Rescue, whose title

Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Famer Chris Hillman
is a pioneer of California Country Rock Sound; as member of the
Byrds, he penned classics like “So You Want to be A Rock and
Roll Star" with band-mate Roger McGuinn, with whom he subsequently
re-grouped in McGuinn-Clark-Hillman. Chris was also in the Americana
trail blazing band Flying Burrito Brothers and - with his life-long
pal Herb Pedersen - founded The Desert Rose Band, which yielded
over a dozen country hits including the chart-toppers “He’s
Back & I’m Blue” & “I Still Believe in
You.”
Herb Pedersen’s recording discography is
a who's who of the 70s & 80s singer-songwriter scene, including

In addition to the Desert Rose Band with Chris Hillman, Herb was
also in the seminal folk-bluegrass band the Laurel Canyon Ramblers.
