Billy Burnette/CANCELED

(Cabaret section reserved for Theater Members until 7/29/13)     Memphis born singer/songwriter/guitarist Billy Burnette spent most of his youth in the presence of his father Dorsey and uncle Johnny (of the legendary Rock and Roll Trio). They made rockabilly famous by combining the names of Billy and his cousin Rocky for the 1953 hit “Rockabilly Boogie.”  In addition to a successful solo career, Billy was a member of Fleetwood Mac, appeared in several movies, played guitar for Roger Miller, Bob Dylan and John Fogerty plus wrote songs for hit makers Rod Stewart, Roy Orbison, Cher, Jerry Lee Lewis, Everly Brothers, Conway Twitty, Loretta Lynn and Glen Campbell.  Bill co-wrote  “Do I Ever Cross Your Mind” for Bonnie Raitt and Ray Charles on the Grammy winning “Genius Loves Company” and the number one George Strait song “River of Love.”
