BLUES & BREWS: Randall Bramblett & Jamie McLean w/ Sarah Ayers

(Cabaret section reserved for Theater Members until 8/13/13)     Lehigh Valley’s own Sarah Ayers gets the party started with her acoustic trio of James Supra and Andy Kilcoyne.

Then it's Randall Bramblett with his band, a jewel of Southern music. Fresh off the inclusion of “Used To Rule The World” on Bonnie Raitt’s Grammy-winning album ‘Slipstream,’ Randall’s extensive career started in the 1970s with the jazzy Southern band Sea Level and he worked with Steve Winwood for 16 years, Chuck Leavell, Levon Helm and Widespread Panic. Bramblett’s latest album ‘The Bright Spots’ has elements of pop, soul, blues and the sounds of the church combined with wistful, beautifully conceived lyrics.

Closing is Jamie McLean Band. Jamie is the former guitarist for New Orleans’ famed Dirty Dozen Brass Band. He’s played in front of a packed Sellersville Theater several times including with John Mayall, Otis Taylor and Jimmy Thackery. Jamie has also toured with Gregg Allman, Drive By Truckers, Derek Trucks, Susan Tedeschi, Blues Traveler, North Mississippi Allstars, Joan Armatrading and Gov’t Mule plus he's appeared at several festivals including Warren Haynes’ Christmas Jam.

“You can’t do better than Randall Bramblett.” - Bonnie Raitt

“One of the South’s most lyrical and literate songwriters.” - Rolling Stone

“Randall is in my opinion the most gifted and talented southern singer-songwriter musicians of the past several decades.” - Chuck Leavell (Rolling Stones, Allman Brothers)

“Randall is one of Georgia’s musical treasures” - Dave Schools (Widespread Panic)

“Randall is the most talented and prolific songwriter I have the privilege of knowing.” - Bill Berry (R.E.M.)
